The Wee Kitchen
Food + beverage
Our journey began with a successful coffee shop in Altona, where we built a loyal clientele who cherished our personal service and quality offerings. Although our customers were disappointed when we transitioned from the coffee shop to focus on catering, their support has continued to inspire us. We remain dedicated to serving the community with the same personal touch that made our coffee shop a beloved local fixture.
Our new venture, The Wee Kitchen, based in Newport Bowls allows us to elevate our culinary offerings. We specialise in creating an array of premium foods, including canapés, entrées, main courses, packaged foods, and desserts, all meticulously prepared to order by our team of expert chefs and professional service staff.
We pride ourselves on our diverse culinary repertoire, spanning a wide range of cuisines. Whether you crave the hearty flavours of Irish and Scottish fare, the vibrant spices of Tex-Mex and Indian dishes, the classic comfort of Italian and Chinese cuisine, or the robust taste of Australian BBQ and smoked meats, we cater to all preferences and have open the bistro Thursday to Saturday for dinner at the Newport Bowls Club.

Newport local Bec founded Bec & Milly from her lifelong love of sewing and working with vibrant vintage fabrics. She learned to sew at the age of ten, and for many years her devoted West Highland Terrier, Milly, sat by her side as she created unique purses and handbags designed to make the women in her life feel special. Though Milly has since passed, her memory lives on through the brand. Each Bec & Milly piece is handmade by Bec using carefully sourced fabrics collected from around the world—from Tokyo fabric stores to local op shops and French flea markets—resulting in distinctive creations that add an unforgettable spark to any outfit.
